Cross-platform funnel: where adult creators leak the most subscribers

Twitter to OF conversion is around 2.4%. Reddit is 1.1%. TikTok is 0.3%. Most creators do not know which of the three is leaking, which means they are optimising the wrong stage.

Adult creators run a multi-platform marketing operation as a baseline requirement. The fact that most creators have no map of which platform is leaking means most are optimising the wrong stage of their funnel.

Across roughly 5,000 paid creators tracked through 2026-Q1, we benchmarked the conversion rate at each step of the typical funnel: external platform follower → bio click → OF profile visit → trial sub → paid sub. The headline numbers below.

Conversion = paid OF subs added per 1,000 platform followers per month. Top / bottom quartiles are the 75th and 25th percentile of paid creators on each platform.

Twitter is the clear conversion leader at 2.4% blended, followed by Reddit at 1.1%. TikTok converts roughly 8x worse than Twitter per follower - but TikTok follower growth is typically 5-10x faster, so the absolute volume often outweighs the per-follower rate. Both signals matter; you need to know your own per-platform numbers to choose where to invest.

The four most common leaks

In a sample of 200 mid-tier creators we audited, four leak patterns appeared in over half of profiles each:

  • Bio link in the wrong format. Twitter bio with a Linktree that has 11 links, including OF buried at position 8. Median click-through to the OF link in this setup: 4%. Same bio with a single OF link and one secondary link: 22%.
  • OF profile bio mismatched to the inbound channel. Twitter audience clicks through and lands on an OF bio written for a different niche. Conversion drops by 60% versus a bio that matches the inbound platform's signalling.
  • Free trial offer not visible in OF profile preview. The OF profile preview shows the first three lines of the bio. If the trial offer is in line 4 or below, the conversion gap to creators with the offer in line 1 is roughly 2.5×.
  • Pricing wall too high relative to inbound source. Twitter audiences convert at $9.99 sub. Reddit audiences convert at $11.99-$14.99. TikTok audiences rarely convert above $7.99 - they're cooler traffic. One sub price for all three is the third most common revenue leak.
